2025 A Year of Reality, Resilience, and Looking Ahead

As the year draws to a close, the Christmas period traditionally offers a moment for reflection. A moment to look back, to draw lessons, and to look ahead. For SCT Tools, 2025 was without doubt a turbulent year. A year in which external developments had a significant impact on our market, but also a year in which we, as an organization, took important steps forward.

The world around us was under considerable pressure throughout 2025. Geopolitical tensions, ongoing conflicts, and an increasingly polarized economic landscape created uncertainty across global markets. Import tariffs and trade restrictions made international cooperation more complex and less predictable. For many companies, including our customers flexibility and adaptability were not optional, but essential.

Within the cutting tools market, one factor in particular dominated the year: the extreme increase in raw material prices. Tungsten, Cobalt and other critical raw minerals reached price levels rarely seen before. These developments put pressure on the entire supply chain. It is inevitable that such cost increases will ultimately be reflected in the prices of manufactured products, a reality that cannot be ignored.

In addition to pricing, material availability is becoming an increasingly important issue. Signals looking ahead to 2026 indicate that supply security will remain a key concern. This requires forward planning, robust processes, and close cooperation throughout the supply chain. At SCT Tools, we proactively addressed these challenges in 2025 by critically reviewing and strengthening our internal processes wherever possible.

At the same time, 2025 was also a year of important internal decisions for SCT Tools. Not all of these decisions were easy. In some cases, choices had to be made that were challenging in the short term but necessary to ensure long-term stability and sustainability. Such moments require trust, commitment, and a clear strategic direction.

Fortunately, the year also presented valuable opportunities. We gained new insights, strengthened partnerships, and carefully evaluated our product portfolio. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for the next phase of our organization, a phase in which we do not merely respond to market developments, but actively help shape our future.

Looking ahead to 2026, we do so with confidence. The coming year will be defined by renewal and increased visibility for SCT Tools. A key milestone will be the launch of our new catalogue, featuring several new products designed to meet the evolving demands of the market and the expectations of our customers. This catalogue also marks a refreshed commercial strategy, with a strong focus on clarity, relevance, and added value.

In addition, SCT Tools will significantly enhance its online presence in 2026. The way customers search for information and engage with suppliers continues to evolve. By strengthening our digital visibility, we aim to be closer to our customers, more accessible, and better positioned to respond to their needs and challenges combining digital reach with a personal and committed approach.

Finally, we sincerely hope that 2026 will bring global progress and stability. That conflicts will be resolved, tensions will ease, and major economies will choose cooperation over confrontation. Only through collaboration and mutual trust can sustainable growth be achieved worldwide.

We would like to thank our customers, partners, and colleagues for their trust, cooperation, and loyalty throughout the past year. Together, we navigated the challenges of 2025, and together we look forward to a new year full of opportunity.

On behalf of the entire team at SCT Tools, we wish you a joyful holiday season and a healthy, stable, and successful 2026.
